When I was a little girl I looked up to glamorous Marilyn Monroe as if she were an orb, circling my sky and my world. She was, to me, a bright yellow star to reach for and become. I knew nothing of what the world of women was truly about in those days. All I had for role models back then, to seemingly escape the bounds of womanhood, were Hollywood stars trapped in their own kids of bonds.
