Description: We see tones of purple throughout this image of the Vltava River in Prague. The river flows toward lovely mountains with a purple sky and clouds beyond.
Info: The Vltava River is the waterway around which the city of Prague has developed over the past 1000 years. It flows through the center of Prague, dividing the city into two banks. The Old Town (Stare Mesto) and the New Town are on one side of the Vlatava river, and on the other bank lies the Lesser Town (Maia Strana) and the beautifully romantic Prague Castle which can be seen from the water. The famous Charles Bridge crosses the river at the center of the city, with great power at certain times of year. Nature is always present by the river, even in the city center. Swans can be seen floating in search of their daily food while other birds fly by overhead, doing the same.
Bedrich Smetana. Vlatava is one of the best known works of classical music from the romantic era. It is a beautiful depiction of the rivers course through bohemia.
The Vlatva River is 267 miles long, the longest river in the Czech Republic.

-People who have lost relationships often wonder why they can't just let it be 'water under the bridge.' It is water under the bridge - the trouble is we do not live on the bridge but in the river of life with its many twists and turns.- Author Unknown
