Description
I viewed this statue, minus the color (!) of Cleopatra, sculpted by William Wetmore Story, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA. I was fascinated by it, but also had empathy for the bored look on her face. Here the legendary pharoah was, white and bland, sitting by a brick wall with a boring window. I thought of all her riches, the palaces, the luxury of her world, and decided to do something about it. Out came my digital colors...resulting in this very colorful image of Cleopatra... sill looking very, very bored!
